Amelia Schauer Schermack, my great-great grandmother, with my great- uncle, Donald Blumenstiel. Amelia was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, USA in 1853. Her family migrated west to Freeport, Illinois, USA, where she married Joseph J. Schermack, Sr. in 1875.
