Emma May Falkner Alfaro (1909-1934) was the daughter of George Ernest Falkner, Sr. and Florence Jones Falkner. She married her dance partner, Jesus Alfaro, in 1926 under the name “Aurora Menendez,” representing her age as 19 years (she was 16). The couple parted in the early 1930s, when Emma went to New York City to seek work as a dancer.
