Emma Schermack (1879-1955)

Emma Schermack was born to Joseph J. Sr. And Amelia Schauer Schermack in Freeport, Illinois, USA. She followed her brother, the inventor Joseph J. Schermack, Jr. to Detroit, Michigan, USA and worked at the Schermack Company for many years. She and her sister, Anna, lent the company money during the Great Depression, which enabled it to stay open.
