Schermack Sisters

Schermack Sisters, Emma (left) and Anna Schermack with a colleague, in front of Schermack Products Company, 1950s. They were born to Joseph J. Sr. And Amelia Schauer Schermack in Freeport, Illinois, USA. They followed their brother, the inventor Joseph J. Schermack, Jr. to Detroit, Michigan, USA and worked at the Schermack Company for many years. The sisters lent the company money during the Great Depression, which enabled it to stay open. They were the maternal aunts of Dorothy Blumenstiel Jarrell and my great-great aunts. #falknerjarrell #schermackgenealogy #schermack #freeportillinois #illinois #familyhistory #genealogy #familyphotos #oldphoto #oldphotos #illinoishistory #sisters #detroit #detroithistory #michigan #michiganhistory #schermackcompanies #josephjschermack #strongwomen #sisters #hats #1950s #1950sfashion #womeninhats #women #womensfashion #womensrights #greatgreataunt #familybusiness
