Mailometer Company (circa 1915)

Mailometer Company (circa 1915). The company was founded as the Schermack Mailing Machine Company in 1906 by my great-great uncle, Joseph J. Schermack, Jr.. It was renamed the Mailometer Company in about 1912, when he left the company to focus on vending machines. He was an inventor, best known for vending and mailing machines, especially stamp vending machines. Stamp collectors may recognize the Schermack name for the private perforations used in the early mailing machines. #familyhistory #detroit #detroithistory #schermackgenealogy #stampvendingmachine #stampcollection #stampcollector #genealogy #falknerjarrell #vending #vendingmachines #schermack #josephjschermack #ancestry #history #family #ancestor #genealogyresearch #geneabloggers #familytree #familyhistorian #familyarchives #savinghistory #findingroots #mailometer #inventor #inventions #postalhistory #schermackmailingmachine #schermackcompanie
