Schermack/Blumenstiel family picnic, 1910s. It is hard to identify everyone, but my great aunt, Margaret Blumenstiel Holmes (“Aunt Marge”) is the girl in front. My great-great aunts are wearing hats, Anna K. Schermack to the right of Aunt Marge and Emma P. Schermack to the left. Left of Emma is my great-great grandmother, Amelia Schauer Schermack, with my grandmother’s first cousin, Robert Schermack, in front of her. You can barely see my grandmother, Dorothy Blumenstiel Jarrell, to the right of Emma. Partially hidden behind Dorothy may be her uncle, Alfred Schermack, or father, John William Blumenstiel. Behind him is my great-uncle, Donald William Blumenstiel. The woman in a hat at far right is my great-great aunt, Alma Schermack Feneley. The two women at front left are unidentified, but may be sister and nice to Amelia. The location is unidentified, but it is likely either Freeport, Illinois or Detroit, Michigan. #falknerjarrell #blumenstielgenealogy #blumenstiel #familyhistory #genealogy #familyphotos #oldphotos #oldphoto #detroit #detroithistory #michigan #familyhistory #familyhistorian #sisters #sister #ancestors #ancestor #ancestry #familyphoto #cousins #schermackgenealogy #schermack #1910s #greatgrandparents #grandparents #greatgreatgrandma #greatgreatgrandmother #freeportillinois #freeportil #picnic #familypicnic
