Five Generations Photo: Schwarze/Schmertman/Kottman Family of Freeport, Illinois, USA. This print of a photo was amongst my great-grandfather’s (John William Blumenstiel) papers. While I haven’t found a blood relationship, this family attended the same church and was almost certainly known to my family.
