Schauer Sisters (Circa 1920). Amelia Schauer Schermack (left), with her dog, Bing, and one of her sisters. Amelia was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, USA in 1853. Her family migrated west to Freeport, Illinois, USA, where she married Joseph J. Schermack, Sr. in 1875. Following the death of her husband in 1915, she moved to Detroit, Michigan, USA, to be near her children.
