Adolph Blumenstiel Family – 1910 Census

Adolph and Christine Blumenstiel Family in the 13th Census (Freeport, Illinois – 1910). Adolph was my great-great grandfather. This is a great example of incorrect data in the census records. The census taker spelled the family name phonetically, as “Bloomanstiel.” Christine was Adolph’s second wife, and they married after they were both widowed. They had one daughter, Clara, later in life. The couple were 60 years old when she was only 19 years old. Adolph immigrated from Reichensachsen, Hesse to Freeport, Illinois, USA in 1885. It is also interesting to see Adolph’s brother-in-law from his first marriage, George Vaupel, living next door. #falknerjarrell #blumenstielgenealogy #blumenstiel #vaupelgenealogy #vaupel #familyhistory #genealogy #familyphotos #ancestry #history #knowyouroots #family #ancestor #genealogyresearch #familytree #familyhistorian #findyourroots #traceyourroots #genealogia #familyarchives #fatherandson #greatgreatgrandfather #reichensachsen #hessen #freeportil #immigrant #census #censusdata #censusrecords #1910census
