James Crawford Forshee (1837-1926) was my great-great grandfather, maternal grandfather of my grandfather, Vernon Lee Jarrell. Born in Monroe, Tennessee, USA he migrated to Missouri, USA in the 1850s. He had moved to Detroit, Michigan, USA by 1920 and died there at 88 years of age. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery on Woodward Avenue in Detroit, Michigan, USA, but, does not have a headstone. When I visited the cemetery office to find his grave location, they could not find him by name. We reviewed the records by burial date and his last name had been spelled “Toshee,” instead of Forshee. The photo is a poor quality photocopy from a family history book/newsletter that was sent to me many years ago. I wish I knew who has the original, so I could get a better copy. But, it is the only image I have of him, so I am glad to have it. I ran this through the My Heritage photo enhancement, trying to make it better, but this is as good as it gets. #falknerjarrell #familyhistory #genealogy #familyphotos #ancestry #history #knowyouroots #family #vintagephotography #oldphotos #oldphoto #ancestor #genealogyresearch #familytree #familyhistorian #findyourroots #traceyourroots #genealogia #familyarchives #ancestors #lovefamilyhistory #detroit #michigan #family #forshee #forsheegenealogy #greatgreatgrandfather #poorqualityphoto #photocopy #tennessee #missouri
