Arcade Manufacturing – Freeport, Illinois

Arcade Manufacturing, Freeport, Illinois, USA. My great-great uncle, Joseph J. Schermack worked here in the late 19th/early 20th Century. He invented and patented two cork pullers, which were assigned to the company. He had a contentious departure from the company in 1902/3, as he sought to go into business for himself. He would go on to invent vending machines, mailing machines, and women’s razors after moving to Detroit and founding various Schermack companies. #falknerjarrell #familyhistory #detroit #detroithistory #freeportil #freeportillinois #schermackcompanies #schermackgenealogy #stampvendingmachine #genealogy #vending #vendingmachines #schermack #josephjschermack #familyphotos #ancestry #history #family #ancestor #genealogyresearch #familytree #familyhistorian #savinghistory #patent #inventor #inventions #corkscrew #arcademanufacturing #arcade
